NPCA Quality Improvement Workshop 2019

Reducing treatment-related toxicity after radical prostate cancer treatment

A national quality improvement workshop for clinicians involved in the treatment of men with prostate cancer

Friday 13th December 2019

Robens suite, 29th floor Tower wing, Guy’s Hospital London, SE1 9RT

The National Prostate Cancer Audit (NPCA) provides information on the care and outcomes of men diagnosed with prostate cancer in England and Wales. It determines whether the care provided meets current recommendations and compares care outcomes among NHS providers.

This workshop brought together clinical leads and members of clinical teams in urology and oncology from NHS providers of radical surgery and/or radiotherapy in centres across England and Wales.

The aim of the workshop is to utilise the results of the NPCA, and the findings from the outlier process, to stimulate quality improvement activities with the ultimate aim of reducing treatment-related toxicity after radical treatment.
