NPCA Outlier Policy 2023

The National Prostate Cancer Audit (NPCA) publishes risk-adjusted performance indicators of the quality of care received by men diagnosed with prostate cancer. If the performance of a provider falls outside a pre-specified defined range it will be flagged as an “outlier”.

For the first time since 2020, it has been possible to carry out an outlier process during this reporting cycle for three of our performance indicators. Provider notification is due to start from January 2024.

The NPCA Outlier Policy 2023 is adapted from updated guidance by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership Ltd (HQIP), published 04.01.2024
