NPCA Short Report 2022

Published in September 2022, this short report seeks to identify which factors may increase the risk of patients having metastatic disease when they are first diagnosed.

In this short report we determine the characteristics of the groups of men who are more likely to have metastatic cancer when they are diagnosed, in order to pinpoint areas where these groups can be targeted to encourage earlier presentation and to prompt health care professionals to investigate such men promptly when they present with symptoms of prostate cancer.

We hope this information will better inform prostate cancer patients and healthcare professionals in order to continue to reduce the morbidity and death from this disease.
